Questions and Answers

HOW MANY CARERS WILL BE CARRYING OUT MY CARE?

Your care needs will fit into these three categories:
• Minor
• Moderate
• Substantial
If you require minor or moderate care, we may be able to assign to you a regular carer. If you need substantial care and need more than two visits a day, then it is vital you have a ‘back-up’ carer to maintain a high standard of care, in the event your regular carer is unable to tend to your care needs.

WHAT PROTECTION DO I HAVE?

We at TenderCare 4 You Ltd monitor all Service Users under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy (SVA) , because all Service Users are viewed as vulnerable, and therefore at risk of abuse.
TenderCare 4 You Ltd are monitored and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, to ensure the standards of care to our service users are maintained, and/or improved.

WHAT DUTIES WILL MY CARER PERFORM?

All carers will adhere to your agreed Care Plan for each visit. However, sometimes your carer will go the extra mile and help out with duties that is not included in your Care Plan.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY CARE PLAN?

All Care Plans can be changed to suit your care needs. Some Care Plans however, can be complex, therefore we will review your Care Plan regularly to monitor if, and when, changes are needed.

WHAT DUTIES WILL MY CARER NOT DO?

In your Care Plan, we establish your care needs, and the duties the carer will undertake and adhere to on each visit.

CAN MY CARER BE TRUSTED TO WORK THEIR AGREED HOURS?

There are two ways of making sure that your carer completes the hours TenderCare 4 You Ltd agreed with you. Firstly, In your care plan there are Daily Recording Logs, which the carer must complete each time they visit you, detailing their ‘Start’ and ‘End’ time. This can be checked by you. Secondly, this process will be repeated on their Time Sheet, which can be verified against the Daily Recording Logs.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CARE?

TenderCare 4 You Ltd will send you an invoice at the end of each month. We strongly advise that on receipt of your monthly invoice, you check the figures against the times recorded on the Daily Recording Logs.

HOW OFTEN WILL I SEE A MANAGER?

With your agreement, a Manager will visit you on a regular basis to check that you are happy with the service you are receiving.

CAN I GET HELP TO PAY FOR MY CARE?

Yes. If you cannot afford to pay for your care, you may be able to get help from your Local Social Services Department. Ask to speak to a Social Worker or a Care Manager who will carry out an assessment to establish what financial help you may need. It is possible you may qualify for Direct Payment.

WILL MY CARER BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH AN EMERGENCY?

Yes. All TenderCare 4 You Ltd carers are issued with guidance and procedures on how to deal with emergencies. For example, what to do in the event of a fall.
